Just remember not to get caught out with any illegal job action. No doubt AA management will sue the union and individual members like others have done.

I still say a mass resignation is the way to go. Takes a lot of guts but it is not illegal. With no pilots they cannot run the airline. They weren't too happy when they had higher than expected retirements last year.

I know it will never happen but it would be amazing if any group ever had the balls to do it. It would be historic for any labor group.

Pulling for you and my friends at amr but why does everyone keep mentioning the ual contract, we are operating under one from bankruptcy and you don't want that one. As far as anything new we have nothing!

We mean the UAL T/A... all indications point to it being DAL + 1.

Regarding the the DAL contract... I submit that when half of the membership likes it and the other half doesn't, it's probably not too bad of a deal. I know that it increased the use of 76 seaters, but it GREATLY decreases 50 sat flying. Along with the addition of the 717s, the mainline flying is increased, overall.

Respectfully, I disagree. I, for one, am tired of seeing contracts inked that are of the "50% + 1" variety. The word 'Unity', is stamped right on our union pin (at ALPA). A simple majority is now acceptable??? Sense when, pray tell, did union "leadership" develop this mindset that 62% equates to "uniity"?

Understand aa, however we don't have a ta we have an agreement in pronciple that none of us have seen and has a long was to go before approval. I hope we are higher than dal and you guys take it past us however at the moment we have nothing and many of us don't see it getting done anytime soon.

I don't think they have any choice at this point in time do they? The company is imposing working conditions and that might well include larger RJs. When it comes time to negotiate a contract, I would bet it will go to arbitration and that will be considered status quo.. Pretty sure the arbitrator won't put that back in the bottle... I am just posing the question here..

One thing to keep in mind. If you go back to the table and operations at AMR return to more normal levels of delays and canceled flights and the contract talks break down the company will now have conclusive proof of a pilot slowdown and a injunction is sure to follow if the delays and canceled flights shoot back up.
