Guys, it's really simple.
BK is BK, no matter how much $$$ a company has. I was a hardliner subscriber to the fact that AMR had way more cash than others, and as such we should have gotten a DAL-style contract, which is why I voted No. What I failed to realize was that the judge and UCC don't distinguish between BKs - the rules are stacked against us no matter how much of a disgrace the BK is.
So to all of you who are ripping on our new TA pay scale and comparing it to UAL/DAL, ask yourself this. What were NWA/UAL/DAL's payscales with their BK TAs and how did it compare to CAL/AAs payscales, the two companies who weren't in BK? Answer: they were much lower and more ominous than CAL/AA. Look at their payscales today. AA will be no different.
The AA payscale WILL come up to industry standard, and a lot sooner than six years.
Overall, we accomplished A LOT more than our past peers in BK. that is a direct result of our first No vote. That will serve to help set the standard for future pilot groups faced with BK.

Updraft - "lets face it, you guys saw some potential $$ in the 13% and sold the farm."
No need to be verbose when Johnny K. smacked it outta da park.
But here's another significant part of the contract, that you accused APA of 'selling the farm', that has never been achieved in BK before.
