Will "Legacy" US Air keep hiring
#31
I remember the heady days around 1990 when AA started hiring upwards of 80/month, and it went on for a few years. It didn't take long to get a bit of "padding" below you.
Unfortunately, that didn't help much when the furloughs started. I was a 1991 hire. If I had been hired (IIRC) only 9 or 10 months later, I'd have been on the street. I've been very fortunate. So darned much luck/chance in this biz.
I'm at the school house right now, and there are all sorts of rumors about AA street hiring later this year. The school house right now looks like a retirement home... it'll be nice to get some youngsters in there. Hawt young new-hire FA's too!

There's also a shiny new 777-300 sim that has some cosmic video that is supposed to integrate Google Earth.
Unfortunately, it is broken and will be for a month! Not sure why.
The A-320 sim sits there ready and waiting. I haven't seen it in action yet. Nice cockpit, very clean and logical layout.
