Yet your union is constitutionally mandated to negotiate for DOH only, as a matter of fact your unions board recently amended their operating manual dictating that the merger committee can only propose DOH. Hopefully the west will get 3rd party status and be able to make our own level headed presentation, with any luck we will be able to limit the damage you east pilots continue to inflict on all our careers.
It's your union too Cacti, like it or not. I didn't vote for it either. So, since I didn't vote for it, I don't support a straight/only DOH stance, I have no faith in these members of the merger committee (Usairways pilot seniority dispute, AWA/USAIRWAYS SENIORITY DISPUTE Home), do you think I can get 4th party status?
I really, really, feel like our present course of beating each other over the head will turn out well for us.

I give you Exhibit A.

1. Date of Hire is not just a catchword. It is a belief that your date of hire and
everything that follows should be etched in stone. To argue a case that is
not built on that tenet, and hope that date of hire could be the eventual
[B][I]outcome, only opens the door to potential compromise.

Yeah see that's what happens when your union picks people with absolutely no west input in an attempt to stack the committee. Did you know that?
Well then accept the binding arbitration you agreed to and it will end right away.
You can get your own lawyers and go to court. If you haven't noticed the company has invited the west to the MB in writing because of uspa's history. Here's an oldie but goodie from one of your leaders:
Looks like you easties are headed down that road again huh?

Actually how I think it will turn out is that our merger committee is so screwed up that they will meet for the required amount of time having dinner and cocktails and then turn it over to the arbitration process.
The last time I can remember two pilot groups negotiating a SLI was US/PS. Well, I get you can call SW/AT negotiated.

As a matter of fact that campaign has fallen flat, 98% of us are following attorneys orders but there are always stragglers
If all they did as eat and drink I would have no problem with them, showing up to the arbitration is what scares me.

You can't insinuate that US Airways is responsible for the industries problems.
Think macro and you may see that our nations wealth has been extracted from this country from the inside out. At the behest of corporate america both parties supported NAFTA, GATT and other fair trade agreements that exported our nations jobs and wealth. Not to mention our welfare and aggressive war campaigns.
The net effect is a shrinking economy masked with Federal Reserve monitory inflation and mainstream media distraction tactics, ie. civil rights issue, gay rights, abortion issues and murder trials.
US Airways is a symptom of corporations, banksters, a corrupt government and a country distracted by the consumer driven bread and circus that is our disconnected reality.
"What?! Jennifer Aniston may be pregnant? Stop it!"

This new contract only looks good because we suffer from some sort of Stockholm syndrome. Naturally capitalism had to overcome barriers and after corporate America took everything away and told us it was our fault we are so grateful for crumbs.
