It is pretty lame that there hasn't been a nice coordinated effort coming from the union. I bet they're having another BPR conference call to talk about how the 3% didn't pan out...

Any on the American side see or hear any updates? Anyone hear of a trial date? I'm tired of searching the interwebs Interestingly enough, the APA and especially the flight attendants have been on the ball. I hope they keep it up.

Yes.

I've asked my reps why no response. No answer

North Carolina has not opposed the merger. The Charlotte Airport in doing many upgrades in support of a major airline.
PA is only concerned with dispatchers and schedulers being moved from PIT.
TX and AZ have Southwest telling their reps to whine.
I don't think ads in Phoenix by USAPA would be money well spent. Contributing to Eric Holder's off shore bank account and the DNC would be the most effective use of money.

If their qualified line pilots, does it matter their age?

I am being told that national officers are not responding in accordance with the wishes of the BPR. Politically the board is split. The DCA reps and PHX reps are in full support of coming out in favor of the merger.

Other base representatives (CLT, PHL) want to use this opportunity to get management to ask for our help. They may have an "ask" in return.

There will be a conference call meeting on Thursday evening. I would ask that you and everyone you know email and or call your voting domicile representatives and tell them what you think and want.

The CLT and PHL reps supposedly are withholding public support for the merger unless US Airways will withdraw their motion to intervene in the Addington DFR lawsuit or the union will not publicly back the merger.

Let them play that game... Apparently there is already a move to vote out USAPA if this AA deal doesn't work out. The new hires plus AWA would already make it close.

It's always the same group... do they really think that even if nic is struck down that something similar won't be instituted when aa and us merge? Had there been any merger in the last 10 years that hasn't gone relative based on equipment.

Because most of the senior usapa members are only looking out for people that are in a certain braket.

Let's hope, I don't think anyone takes usapa seriously. They are on borrowed time and are basically irrelevant at this point.

So I am not suggesting that this is the correct response but throwing out possible reasons- The company never came to the USAirways pilots about the merger until everybody else including the airplane mice were on board. The company does not care one iota what the USAirways pilots do. Give up the "change of control" and go sit back down.

I think that is pretty much it.
