You beasties never followed alpas advice then blame alpa for what happened. Did you freeze your pension like alpa told you? Did you take the contract offer alpa experts told you to take? In both cases you thumbed your nose and went out and got a worst deal. Usapa is a disgrace and everyone in the industry knows it, so take responsibility for a change.

As for LOA 93, you are stuck on it as well. In fact, you have been stuck on it for much longer than the East pilots if you are a legacy AW pilot. You should be used to low pay. Perhaps a quick check of the walls before you cast that stone.
No young man there was no problem with the ALPA until they refused to do the east bidding and toss out a valid arbitration. How on earth can any sane individual claim that and arbitration that the east begged and pleaded for be the straw that broke the camels back?

The east got played by Lee Seham who used their over active emotional state to extract millions of dollars out the pilots here then got fired after he could not deliver. The funny thing in this is that Lee Seham didnt lose he actually won because he and his firm are the only ones that got what they wanted

I believe there was a group of West Pilots that wanted to leave ALPA prior to the merger.

There's a group of pilots that want to leave whatever union represents them at every airline.

But instead of disgracing the entire profession and throwing out the baby with the bath water, those guys went out and became reps and mec officers!

Relay no matter how you slice it the east is a disgrace by and thru usapa. Now giving you the benefit of the doubt because you often claim your disgust with usapa. However be that as it may you still did little to stop your brethren in their actions.

Several East pilots have claimed that the Nic was simply a secondary "last straw" issue, so why would they place their supposed 2 primary long-term concerns of pension and 93 in jeopardy to accept that worse deal if all they got out of it was delay of the "straw" issue ?

Doesn't make sense.

The only thing that makes sense on this issue is that the Nic was THE issue above all else and risking/jeopardizing other issues was secondary and an acceptable consequence. In other words, exact opposite of easy-to-make after the fact claims of now.

Still not buying the claim it was other issues aside from the Nic situation that were the primary reason to oust ALPA. Dumping ALPA was the best strategy for nullifying an arbitration result they didn't like and the creation of USAPA was for one purpose only. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..........apparently according some here, that means its a peacock.

I guess if reality doesn't fit your argument you have to come up with your own reality.
I can assure you that you would have to search far and wide (outside of USAPA) to find anyone that believes that statement...there is no way on god's green earth that USAPA would exist absent the NIC...USAPA was a creation to overturn the Nic award, to renege on your promise to abide by binding arbitration. A very sordid affair for most of us on the outside looking in.

Perhaps your post just wasn't that compelling...The fact is there are many parallels to be drawn between DPA and USAPA. Luckily, DPA will never have the critical mass to inflict the damage that USAPA has.
