Default American interviews and class dates

Did a class start yesterday? If so, anyone know the drop they received?

From a buddy in class today:
6 S-80s to DFW
6 737 international MIA
16 767 international MIA

Of not all of the S-80s and 737s went first. Both aircraft had the last training end dates so those guys willingly gave up seniority to get it.

Its insane that AA doesn't give you a seniority date when you start working for the company.

Who came up with this way of doing things?

No need to reinvent the wheel with this, but apparently they did, and what they came up with was a square.

Cheers,

Dudes,

Take the earliest class date, even if it's a 2 year tour driving the lav truck at a Crimea TU-95 domicile.

20 years later, you'll be kicking yourself after watching the guy hired 1 week before your grab the last Xmas, 4 July, your kids wedding, anniversary, little league world series lines with days off.

I delayed my interview date almost 25 years ago and kick myself after every months bid and the yearly vacation bid. Delaying a seniority number date, is only exceeded by marrying your second Flight Attendant.

Seriously, this is "listen to Yoda chit."

AA doesn't base your seniority on DOH??? (i.e.,....the day you get your employee number?),...as in the beginning of indoc?

What about US Airways?

Yes and no. We have 4 seniority dates at AA. Somewhere along the way during indoc they explain each of them and what they are based on. I can't remember all of them, but I think it was discussed somewhere earlier in the thread.
