You're more correct. LAA only bid, for Jan, closes 10/8.

Open bidding/fence crossing, eff Feb, announced 10/19 and closes 11/9.

No MOAB.

Company's looking at possibly increasing hiring numbers for next year. Another 100-200 depending upon what they decide on and what starting number you use. Someone mentioned that somewhere and I can't find the post.

Next year's plan released to Flt Department typically in mid November. W/b flying to which city pairs is the big driver of the flying plan.

So the decision to increase hiring might not be known until then.

You've got one on me, probably more than one, but they'll hopefully never fly the 300🙂

-600 or B4?

Cause I though the B4 was a PoS.
Flew alot like the 321. Doesn't like to go up and once you get there doesn't want to come down.

6 month equipment lock for new hires. Base and/or division up to what you can hold. Bid what you want, several people have been released early. On the other hand, I was withheld for 6 months, YMMV. Once JCBA is fully implemented, they can withhold for a year I think. Not sure if that applies to a new hire drop though.

Lock-ins? Equipment yes. Base/division no.
Guys gave switched bases while still in training. That won't happen anymore because the bid award to effective date has increased by a month. So guys should be done with training before their first opportunity to switch bases becomes available.

Eg - October new hires can bid in the job vacancy run closing 11/8. That's effective Feb 2017. Even the October guy who finishes last will be done in late Dec or early Jan.

Once you're on property your 3* will show the date of your lock-in release.

No lock in for a base transfer , same seat /same ac.. APA also has mutual base exchange ..i.e. LAX guy wants mia/ Mia guy wants LAX ... long as someone is junior to both at both bases , you can swap. It's a pretty good way to move around .
Joe
Ps.. agreed 767 flying is great in mia.. but as previously stated, you'll be junior forever, but if ya live there, grab it!!

Mutual base exchange across the fence starts Jan?? It's a way to transfer between bases even if there's no movement. CLT-MIA, PHX-DFW, CLT-PHX, LAX-PHX, PHL-LGA. All AB bases.
