Thanks!

Supposedly Oct. 28. I don't know of anyone getting calls yet though.

Is Oct 28th the date they are sending out invites for the video interview? Tight turn around to make a Dec class date, one would think.

Cannot wait to see what happens either way.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. With the multiple phases and 2 day interview, plus the video, decision board meeting, etc., it seems pretty tight for 1 month from the date of contact to starting class. Tight for them, I mean. I can be there tomorrow for class if they'd like.

Maybe flow-throughs from Eagle will dominate the first classes, hence them having more time for future classes Jan 2014 and on ..

Video interview? What are they going to have you call them on Skype or Facetime for the first "interview"?

You obviously didn't read anything that was published concerning the AA interview process.

The first phase is a video interview that you submit to the interview panel.

Government shutdown

This may not matter if the deal gets past a vote I don't know answer for sure but if FAA pilot records is still laid off due to sequester then any off the street hires won't be able to start until that mess is finished even if they get back to work this week we could see a backlog of work that may slow response times. Does anyone know if background checks would fall in the same boat. Could delay start dates even further. However. AA can't take delivery of A319s because they can't get them registered. You'd hope they'd keep training so when aircraft were available they could immediately put them to work

Has anyone that has done the video interview have any good information on what kind of questions they ask?

We're excited to invite you to the next step in the selection process for a Pilot position with American Airlines!

This will be a video interview that will help us get to know you better. Below are a few tips to help you prepare for the interview:

• Take advantage of the initial ‘test’ question to ensure that your volume and lighting are good
• Dress as if you were interviewing face-to-face
• Have pen and paper handy

We kindly ask that you complete the interview within the next 5 days.

We will send you an email as soon as we have had a chance to review your results. Due to the large number of applicants, it may take us a little longer than we'd like to get back to you, but we appreciate your patience during this process.
