Anyone know if there are any 777-200LRs on the market still? I know Air India sold some of theirs. The strong rumors back in July timeframe were about possible 777LRs from Air India to be placed on new routes to JHB, DXB, HKG etc.

The rumor I heard was more Airbus 330s to replace all the 767-200s.

The air India 777s were sold to Etihad, your friendly neighborhood gulf carrier.

That's because they were specifically prohibited by our soon-to-be-defunct contract. With every other major airline doing them on long-haul fleets (including AA), I strongly suspect you'll see them in the future.
