That's what Hawaiian is planning on. Thin routes to the west coast on the NEO.

Hawaiian orders some to do thinner mainline routes. I seem to remember someone saying they would do Lihue-west coast. Hard to imagine in a 321, but I guess the numbers are better on the new ones.

Someone mentioned questioned how old AA's 777's are. I do a JDM*tail code for each trip I fly. We started receiving 777's in 1999 most of those have 8,000 cycles with 64,000+ hours.
Yes, they are getting old and have maintenance issues due to age. The one I flew down to GRU yesterday was a 2003 delivery.

We are really short handed on reserve in MIA. My trip has a DFW FO. I'm the FB. My understanding was ALL but one 777 trip Wed had reserves on it. And most trips ALL 3 seats were reserve.
And one 767 trip deep south canceled at the last minute Wed night. Far 117 issues.

How big is LAX for legacy AA? I remember someone posting the bases/equipment but no numbers.

Small problem with the 321 and Etops.
I don't believe any of USA 321s have HF.

Can't say I know much about it, but I'd think HF could be easily installed if needed.

I'm amazed a 321 can get off the short runways at LIH and OGG to go to the west coast. Isn't that thing a runway hog? And how about getting off the ground in PHX on a hot summer day to go all the way to Hawaii?

I don't find it to be anymore than a regular A320. Climbing above FL230? different story.

United has the 777-200 non er still. I doubt AA will dump their 777-200 ers.

AA is larger than Delta and United.
