I'm talking active pilots on the bid. I have it right in front of me, do you? Not my words, the actual bids from US Airways. How do you find you way to the airplane by yourself? Scary. |

I have the numbers, Hale has the numbers. You have 20% more ACTIVE pilots today than you did then.
Damn. I mean really, damn! You guys need to take alfa's word for it and not believe your own BS. Anytime you want to show me real numbers, knock yourself out. I have the actual, honest to God bid announcements. PM your email address and I will send them to you. AOL has been lying to you. |

You have to be one of the most idiotic west pilots still alive. Damn. The first step is to stop digging you idiot. My God man, I thought drug testing was industry wide. Geeze, are you guys really that stupid? Why even respond to him? Does he get this mad and flustered when he's PIC of an airliner? |

No, we don't. If Hale has the numbers and they were so compelling, why no change? Did you and the idiot DB stop to think that his presentation to Hale was basically telling him to go tell Isom that he has been an idiot? Are you guys really that stupid? Really?

You want to talk staffing numbers, Just curious how many pilots/airplane did the west have at merger, and how many did the east have? I think I remember the west being staffed much more than the east.

Why not just take a screenshot of the pages, host the images online and post them here for all to see? Kill a lot of birds with one stone.

Here's the bid from the PDF. I will try and straighten out the lines. On it there were 2701 active line positions on September 2005. On our last bid there were 2989 for November 2014, of which 216 are on the E190.
******** PLEASE POST ON PILOT BULLETIN BOARD ******** TO: ALL PILOTS SUBJECT: DOMICILE BID CLASSIFICATION (BID NO: 05-03) PUBLICATION DATE: MAY 16, 2005 BID CLOSE DATE: 2330 EDT ON MAY 25, 2005 EFFECTIVE MONTH: AUGUST and SEPTEMBER, 2005 PERMANENT BID 05-03 DRIVERS: Bid 05-03 was affected by the reduction of 9 B737s by August 21. (Seven B737-300s and Two B737-400s.) Reduction of one B757-200 by August 21. Reduction of one A319 by August 21. Three additional AB reductions by September 11. Block lines cut to match September block hours. SPECIAL NOTES FOR BID 05-03 A pilot who is more than SIX ( 6 ) months of their Sixtieth (60th) birth date and who is awarded a new position will be trained to that new position. PRE-RETIREMENT TRAINING BYPASS No pilot will be trained if he is awarded a vacancy and is within SIX ( 6 ) months of his 60th birthday. A displaced pilot may be trained to his displacement bid if the pilot is within SIX ( 6 ) months of his 60th birthday. Permanent Bid Indicators: A ‘++’ sign on the permanent bid award next to the pilot last name indicates that pilot is within 24 months of retirement. A ‘N’ left of the relative number in a roster indicates a new pilot or a vacancy bidder. A ‘DN’ left of the relative number in a roster indicates a displaced pilot in that roster. BIDDING INFORMATION When bidding, please bid realistically and enter enough bids to insure a position for yourself in this bid. If you use CATCREW, you must enter your pin number after you have completed your bid updates. At the conclusion of the 05-03 bid award process, printed results will be in all domiciles and Voice Response will also be available to obtain your results on approximately May 25 2005. 1 5/16/05 18:03 Bid 05-03 NET GAIN / (LOSS) ALL EQUIP C RC F RF TOTAL 76I 0 0 0 3 3 76/75D (14) 2 (14) 3 (23) 33 (43) 8 (43) 36 (42) A-319 (44) 22 (44) 51 (15) A-330 0 (2) 0 (2) (4) TOTAL (101) 30 (101) 91 (81) Summary Domicile Variance DOMICILE June September CLT 844 (33) 811 DCA 259 (12) 247 LGA 111 31 142 PHL 1146 (19) 1127 PIT 294 (48) 246 BOS 128 0 128 TOTAL 2,782 (81) 2,701 Bid 05-02A Head Count 2,782 Age 60 Retirements (21) Early Retirements (29) Supervisor 0 Medical (18) Resign 25 Rsgn/Term/Dec/ALPA (25) 2 Military / 3 LOA Leave of Absence (5) Return to Line 17 From Medical 5 From SPV 1 Cxl Early Ret 2 From Mil 1 From Loa 8 Bid 05-03 Head Count 2,701 2 5/16/05 18:03 So 4 days before the merger we had 2782 active line positions, dropping to 2701 by September. By November 2014 we will have 2989. So we have around 8% more active line pilots than we did on the day the merger was announced, not 20% like cacti claims, and about the same number are on the low paying E190, which we didn't have then. |

From the Nicolau opinion and award. Available to anyone at cactuspilot.com for those that don't believe me. "As of the merger date, there were also differences in staffing, differences that remain. As of January 1, 2007, the aircraft and staffing figures were: US Airways America West Equip. AIC Staffing Equip.
