Gee, and we only had to give away, everything else, for those super awesome (soon to be obsolete) pay scales!

Yay!

Question,

I come in peace... but what was the hurry to agree to the contract without Profit Sharing? I am sure there was some self-imposed date but looking forward at airline profits, my personal feelings is that this will end up a very bad deal for the pilot group. Earnings for the next several years are going to be north of 5 Billion. The profit sharing would have been a must in my opinion but every group has to make their own decisions and I am sure there was a reason to put in place the contract that you have now.

AA had profit a sharing. It was GIVEN back to the company a with the MOU. You know, that one time where a there actually was a little leverage. In my worthless opinion, there is a lot of misdirected anger at the yes voters for the JCBA rather than APA and the yes voters for the MOU. Our backs were against the wall right off the bat with the JCBA.

It was this contract or COST NEUTRAL arbitration as agreed to by the APA prior to the merger. just like the flight attendants who decided to go to arb and got NOTHING. So the only smart move was to vote this thing in, the no voters are pretty much idiots given the circumstances and the flight attendant debacle ( they had to beg the company to get back what they voted down)

So your contract is 5 years long now? Voting no and having the arbitrated contract would have you back negotiating when?
