Yeah-

It is definitely getting bad.

Our union doesn't seem to care. (Like they actually care about anything on our side of the house.)

So, it ends up my profile is a touch out of date... I fly the 757 now. That said, we did do island flying out of PHL, including GCM, FPO, and MBJ - I think we still do at least some on the airframe.

I know at least one, maybe both of the airlines that make up the 'Big Three' with us have the ability to go in before a trip and request specific crew meals. If you're trying to eat healthier, you can request a meal that reflects that. If you're allergic to shellfish, you can make sure you don't end up with the shrimp plate. It sounds like something we need to be working towards here, it'd end the, 'Which one of these things looks best to you?' chatter and you could all get what you want.

Would this be something that sounds as good to the rest of you as it does to me? I think it'd improve things a little bit for us and not really cost the company much more. I'm thinking about approaching union leadership about the process of this becoming reality. I know it's not as easy as the I'm making it sound, but I think it's worth exploring.

I love this idea. I've already sent soundoffs about the meals and I understand that nobody cares. It sure would be great to order a salad or something different instead of the same pasta or shrimp and grits for 3 months in a row. How will you approach the union? They don't have to eat this crap.

Even the salads are unhealthy. There is nothing healthy about any of the crew meals.

I understand that if you pile the entire packet of dressing onto the salad it isn't great, but there are certainly healthier crew meals than others. Aside from the health or allergy/dietary restriction angle, I'm just as interested in having what I'd prefer to eat.
