I'm in a January class, all civilian. Times are...
TT: ~12k
TPIC: 8800
Types: 757/767, 737, DC-9, A320, EMB-145
Sim instructor, PC Checkairman, lots of ETOPS experience.
3 job fairs, 2 internal LOR's.
4 year degree
No failures, violations or things that needed explaining in my past.
Interviewed at two other carriers as well and would say AA was the best experience of the bunch.
Good luck to all.

New hire in December with indoc this month...
Military
TT 4000
PIC 2000
Inst/Eval 1100
C-17 Chief Eval Pilot
Our interview class was about 75% military with about 75% of that being Fighter types. Most were Guard or Reserve and it was an older group... I'd say the average age for the Military pilots was over 40. We might have had 1 civilian in the group under 30.
FWIW... I know a guy in 190 training now and they said they are expecting 6-10 new FOs in training per month through 2017, so even if they say they are going away soon they will still be dropping plenty of them at indoc through 2017.

Hi guys. I am excited to be joining the AA team starting late January. I was hoping to get just a few questions answered...
1. Are uniforms provided or will I have to pay for them?
2. Does the wifey come to Dallas for part of orientation too? If yes, what is the purpose?
3. Does pay start pretty much right away? Guarantee of 70 right?
4. When do you find out equipment and base?
Thanks for the info and I am looking forward to getting started!
