No issues in the 170's. Just the 190. I remember one day people had winter jackets and hats/gloves on. FAs walked by and never said anything or turned the heat up.

He's just jealous and mad that he can't hold MIA bus[emoji41]

I don't doubt that. Our product sucks. My wife has abandoned us as well as all her work friends. They take Delta almost exclusively. Pretty sad. Every time I travel with her it takes 45 mins+ to get our bags at baggage claim. You hear people *****ing that it takes this long all the time. One day was 1+10. Yes seventy minutes to get our bags. What a joke. Meanwhile the jetBlue that landed after us took 20 minutes. I even took a screen shot of the flights on FlightAware to send to someone, but couldn't figure out who would care. Or if it would even matter.

Good thing they are spending billions buying back stock that. Good call Dougie.

I'm glad your wife/friends like Delta. However, the numbers doesn't prove them (or you) right.

American is a powerhouse based on these Motley Fool numbers alone. Size in the airline industry matters. Delta and American are comparative equals, except for American being almost a third larger. And we have/will have a much newer and fuel efficient fleet in the years to come more than Delta. Contract costs for Pilots/Flight attendants and mechanics are contained and long-term. American is and will be the most profitable in the foreseeable future. While debt is higher, cash is king and American has A LOT OF IT. American is now taking an active role in establishing a new hire pilot training program to keep pilots supplied to the airline. They are improving hotel feedback and working closer with the pilots.

With all of that happening and a promising future, WHO NEEDS A UNION?

For example, rumor has it that the only WB in Chicago will be the 78.

ORD was discussed as an example with respect to 787 v. 777 flying. The answer was they could see ORD going to mainly a 788 base. Their intention is to fit airplanes for base specific needs, and to increase reliability for specific fleets in base. They didn't say anything about the group 4 flying actually shrinking.

My bet would see PHL/CLT/ORD/PHX being single group 4 fleet bases. LAX/DFW/MIA having the most diverse WB makeup.

On a 'worser' note - CKA in the jumpseat the other day said when the 321NEO arrives, the want to use that for east coast-western Europe.

Yay

A new 321 is better than a clapped out 76.

True that! I'd forgotten that little fact until my wife and I hopped on a 767-300 from MIA to DFW a year or so ago. It was, uh, worn out.

Can you imagine the SLI with A321s in group 3? We couldn't have had that now could we?

Yay

You really think PHX will see a group 4 aircraft? I would say PHX would be lucky to keep group 3 once the 321's NEO and MAX are here. Not unless they plan to fly somewhere other than Hawaii or Mexico from PHX.
