Virtually every Atlas pilot posting on these boards has the same message: Atlas BAD. You can argue semantics and the outsiders point of view all you want, but ours is the message from inside. Don't forget new hires. You will have imputed income for all you travel to and from your base. You will also pay for the hotels in bases as well. (Tax)(your not taxed if it's less then 18hrs.?)
My average has been about $200 to $400 a paycheck. So factor that into your budget at 50hrs guarantee @ $79 hr. You really do not have much control over it. The company can and will sit you for days in R2. (Reserve) So you could have a hefty tax bill if your base has expensive hotels and flights! |

Globemaster, why do you have to be such a pessimist? That pilot got a vacation to ANC in the summer and got to fly a 747. What do you expect, Atlas to actually have to pay him for such a privilege? I think not, vacations cost money even if you can't bring your family with you.
