he’s right. Plan on being up there until things spool back up at the legacies or we add a bunch of new airframes. These are unprecedented times and no one really knows what’s in store. In years past it was like a month or a year depending on what time of year and where in the wave you were hired. We were losing 25 pilots a month to other airlines then and adding 10-15 planes a year then. None of that is happening now you could be up there for five years for all we know.

So yeah, sometimes we are the victims of unfortunate circumstances that are beyond our control. You can do all the "right" things and never get a call simply because you don't meet a certain profile, you have too much experience, you don't have enough experience, you don't know the right person, you share a last name with someone people don't like, your resume slipped off the table and fell behind a filing cabinet (I have heard that one before too), etc.
Oh well. I will wait with fingers crossed and hope for the best, and congratulate the guys who do get the call.

weird tech interviewers?
Any recruits to Atlas been getting weird treatment by tech interviewers? I heard one interviewer refused to turn his camera on. Some guys are given study material couple days before, while other are not even given it until the actual interview. Very poor form not to even be able to look your interviewer in the eye. etc etc

Yea and unknown due to current attrition coming to a halt. I’d plan a year to be on the safe side.
Edit: Just checked the seniority list. Junior 747 CVG has a 29 Apr 2019 hire date. So with Attrition grinding to a halt expect longer than that. Maybe 1 1/2 years? PAE is actually more Junior not that we might not see that base shrink due to no LCF flying. To many unknown variables over the next few months to be able to predict anything.

No please?
July ‘19. Again not that it matters this company has seen a halt to attrition. I’d plan atleast 2 years in Anchorage and that is subject to change drastically one way or the other in that time frame. Who knows you could be calling Anchorage home for 3 years.

I wouldn't try to look too deeply into why your application is or is not progressing. We struggle to coordinate in normal times. Add crash upheaval, staffing changes, coronavirus, etc. into the mix and it's entirely possible your application is sitting in someone's inbox. This also means that your struggles most likely aren't related to your qualifications.
I'd do whatever brings you the least amount of stress. If you want to call and check on your status, call. If calling worries you, don't.

do you happen to have a # for someone in recruiting? I’d love to follow up on my app, I applied months ago and haven’t heard anything.. even with 4 internal letters of recommendation
