I know an FO who recently got hired and he was fired from two regionals and got turned down at the rest. I’ve flown with him in light aircraft and he has no business being a pilot. The thought of him flying with a new captain who probably also was another weak hire is scary.

Something's got to change before we do this again. Nobody in the company or union is going to intervene unless they are forced or supported by reports, especially reports with good data. Please use the safety reporting systems and put observations in writing. We really need these.

As expected zero progress or any indications of future progress during the usual 3.5 days of negotiations for the month. The company lead negotiator showed up for a grand total of 27 minutes this week. They also parked two articles; sick leave and leave of absence for a future arbitrator to decide. No further discussions on Scope or anything else of substance, just current book from the company.
This from a company that claims constantly in the press and emails to the crewmembers and their families that they're working hard to produce a contract as soon as possible for their "valued" pilots. It's all a sham.
It's very apparent that the goal of mgt is to bankrupt AAWH or nearly so so it can be fragmented and the pieces acquired for pennies on the dollar. More losses of flying, downgrades and furloughs will be next after the 4th qtr.
