JAN/FEB ORD 747 bid packet contained 9 such lines for 37 Captain bidders. So, it appears that those protections will only be available to the folks with high relative seniority in their seat and base. Which sucks.

Thanks Nate, those are some revealing data points right there. ORD, especially helpful - good to know.

Hope it gets better Swakid8.

NightIP - Totally agree and compensated for it very well. It has been working out very well these past 2 months.

All a shell game, we’ll just have to wait and see. Even if it did say our crews, I would wait until actual delivery. -400s have some time left but who knows at the time of new aircraft induction how plans, the world, leadership changes. Of course you were alluding to the lack of bodies I believe but maybe this could help us? 10%-25% additive, add 8% for a 10% DC, 5.25 rig, hmmmm.

I also wonder if Amazon saying they want to fly 330s/777s has sth to do with it.
Maybe just long term planning for those aging -400s? Who knows

19 lines total for 37 Captains. 9 were Primary lines and well over a quarter were reserve lines with violates the new CBA. What is going on here?

It does not violate the contract as the contract states it is for the entire fleet. Not just per base.

The Queen use a lot more gas than thee 777 for a little more cargo, maybe that is the reason. The 767 can no longer be produced in a few more years due to CO2 emissions so the 777 is the way to go for now. I know nothing about the 330 but knowing Aerospace the aircraft will probably meet the green requirements.
