usually Atlas would put the less qualified pilots there until they’ve built up more experience and then they would move over to the WB fleet.

I feel I would be able to maintain a better connection of communication with my son and his mother while only having to contend with narrow body length legs, with virtually zero risk of coming home jet lagged from international time zone hopping.
So for me the B737 seems more appealing than B767 or B747.
Perhaps if there was a way to bid B767 and keep it domestic I’d be interested in that route.
Also, with my prior experience of ~1300 hours on the B727, I would hope to potentially have a faster upgrade in the B737 versus the other types.
I hope that provides clarity

Well, my home situation is that I’m a divorced, single father of a toddler. Having flown in the DHL network for a different carrier I am familiar with the CVG hub routine.

I’m on the 74, this month due to me bidding a secondary line, I’ll have 19 days home and only fly 6 legs. With an average of 30+ hours in between every leg. I’ve never been able to spend this much time with my kids.

I see, there are other ways to look at this as well.

I certainly appreciate your insight, thanks!

90% of the 767 flying is domestic amazon legs, just like the 737. Faster upgrade time than the wide body fleets, sure. Most recent junior 737 CA award went to someone with 2 years 9 months on property and that'll probably only keep going up with loss of airframes, not to mention if age 67 passes.
I suppose it’s time I pull the trigger on the application submit button.
For the most part (and I know every shop has it’s pros/cons and issues) are folks seemingly happy with work rules, contract, QoL, pay and benefits?
thanks!

I think most people here enjoy the job it self, but our pay, retirement, and work rules are significantly behind just about any other place. Contract isn't amednable until 2026
