Yeah I see both sides. Improvement to retirement now (well, 2025 and 2026) gives Atlas pilots a better starting point when contract negotiations actually start - the fact this is a mid-contract increase seems to be lost on some.
As for the Aussies, I've heard jumpseating has been pretty good for most. A confirmed 15 hour economy seat isn't that much more comfortable than a standby 15 hour economy seat... It might keep a few guys who are already on the fence but it's hardly going to lead to the Yahoo Serious invasion.
This does lend certainty to the large cohort of US citizen pilots living abroad who have seen the policy change seemingly month to month recently, a lot who have been at Atlas a long time.
But on the other hand, this outpouring of generosity is showing that management is weakened and cannot attract or retain enough pilots for future goals.
Tempting to say, "Nah, what else you got?"

It doesn't have to be "Nah, what else you got?" -- I'd be at least a little content with the current LOA but no 2+ year wait. Start the DC at 16% right now. The LOA immediately solves the company's problem, and says we'll start to address the pilot group problems in a couple of years.

I’m voting YES. Tired of self-destructive pilots voting out of spite.

I’m sorry, meager gains?? 16% is what each of the big three legacies currently get? How is that meager? It’s industry standard and a huge plus for our retirement. Hiring Australian pilots and other foreign nationals is the nature of the industry right now if you’re not DL/UA/AA. UPS and FDX aren’t even hiring and Spirit and Allegiant are both hiring a lot of Australian pilots right now as well. I hear them on the radio all the time. I personally welcome them. They’re helping grow our airline and they actually want to work here. Why not make their quality of life better? Why treat them as second class citizens. If you’re so dead set against hiring them I direct you careers.united.com or jobs.aa.com

This seems to be the confusion for many. Company has no problem with XXX. They can do that tomorrow if they so choose with no input from the pilot group.
The only issue I have with this is that the green card pathway MOU should have been included in this LOA.

Just a quick reminder, every US carrier that has hired Australians under the E3 program has had pay rises. I would venture a bet that those who espouse such vitriolic rubbish about ‘them over here’ and ‘happy to be paid in Koalas and Kangaroos’ would never say it to an Australian’s face. Instead, you announce your bigoted BS anonymously on an internet message board.
