Default 747 training + ATP/CTP

Hi everyone , tried to find information about the whole process still has some questions .

Is Atlas provide rental car / transportation over there in Miami area for the ATP/CTP course ?
Where actually do you fly on the light-twin for the training flights and for the checkride ?

regrading the training itself :
Is Atlas provide rental car / transportation over there in Miami area for the 747 training course ?
what should I expect for timeline throughout the time down there in Miami?
Does we have any off-duty days? / weekends? ( if yes , can we start use the flight benefits to go home? )

I might have more questions later ..

Thx again , any answer can help
And if there is any other place where I can find more info about the timeline and the whole process down there in Miami please let me know

The timeline has been discussed ad nauseam. Plan on 90 days in Miami. The company provides transportation to/from all training events with chartered bus/van service. They don't provide rentals.

I know the ATP training is done in both DFW and Orlando. Not sure if there are others.

The first month of training post ATP-CTP is all classroom with a day or 2 off per week. Once you get past the oral you'll have more down time but you should use it wisely and study pertinent material. Expect 2 weeks of indoc, another week of systems, oral prep, oral. Then you get into sims. Fixed base for 6 sessions and then into FFS. After your type ride it's -8 differences, LQT, UPRT, CATII/III, Ldgs, and LOFT. It will take the full 90 days.
Currently it's about a 2 month wait for OE.

You'll get access to the travel benefits for yourself right away and the family after 6 months. As part of your new hire material they will provide the training footprint on paper.

This is a very accurate summation with the following addition.

The majority of the ATP flight training is presently done in Orlando, with an occasional use elsewhere, e.g, Dallas and Miami. 737 students will now receive their ATP along with their rating near the end of their training. No idea if or when the other fleets may be given this option, as slow as the FAA moves probably not soon.

Does anyone know if the training timeline and wait for OE is the same for 767s? I know it was backed up a few months ago, but trending better. Haven't seen any updates since. Thanks!

6-8 weeks wait for OE. Otherwise no interruptions in training but expecta chance to go to Tokyo for sims.

is the ATP done similar to how it is done at regional airlines with the type rating checkride where another box is checked? Or is it a separate ordeal at a flight school in a light twin with an old school part 61 checkride event with a DPE?

For the 737 fleet the ATP will be given with your rating ride. This is a recently approved program for which the newest class will implement.

For the other fleets you will be sent for a separate "ordeal", either in a light twin or a simulator. For the simulator you have to meet recency criteria and pay a smallish fee (the difference between Atlas's commitment and whatever the simulator costs)

Makes not difference be it a 141 or 142 school nor 135 or 121 operator... the ATP Check Ride will be conducted I/A/W the ATP ACS. The ATP ACS is available for download from the FAA website. The Appendix Section contains specifics concerning the check ride too.
