Candlerkid, thanks, yes I will support the good team. The problem with both Delta and Fedex is that I don't know anybody there, let alone guys I have flown with. I am not Navy, or Air Force, or a commuter airline that had contact with Delta. An outfit where I flew 727's went t/u and guys went to... Atlas (no major was hiring anyway). Another where I flew big jets the same, it was Atlas or overseas. Previous airline guys are bailing to.... Atlas, or overseas. Yes, a couple went to fly light twins and except for one they are not happy. And most of these guys, like me, have a reason why Delta, United, Fedex are not picking them up: they are one out of 10.000 applicants but have nobody on the inside, someone who can act as reference, or someone who can knock on a chief pilots door.
If Delta would call me 2 things will happen: I will fall of the chair, and after I have recovered I will hang out the flag. (in other words, I am not holding my breath on that one).

Not nearly as horrible as the 74! 76 folks should stay away as long as possible! Trips on the 747 take all day long. I'm serious. 22 hour legs in turbulence with no autopilot into a headwind while you scrape ice off of the windshield with one hand holding frozen coffee in the other steering the jet with your chin.
Stay away!
Horrible!
