Is this for real? Are they rejecting you or have they just not invited you to interview yet? Some people have been applying for years without ever getting a call with way more experiece than you. I am not trying to discourage you, but just realize although pilot supply is drying up, it has not gotten to the point where you get the job by just applying with the minimum requirements.

After applying to every major airline where I met the qualifications and updating my applications after every trip, for seven years, I finally got called to my first major airline interview, where I was turned down.

I have a friend that has been applying to UPS for 17 years. He just got the job there recently.

Have some patience, keep at it, and realize if it was that easy, we would all be making $8 an hour doing it.

I appreciate the advice! I haven't been invited for an interview. I figured that with the growth, mass attrition, and beginning of a pilot shortage, they would need to start intensively hiring. I'll keep trying. It sounds like they start calling people around 3000TT.

I applied and was called a few months ago and got the "reapply in 6 months." I have around 3000 TT, and have been wanting Atlas for some time. Hopefully I'll get it next time

Do you all Atlas pilots think that the success Local1224 had at Allegiant will follow Atlas?

Good to see Allegiant guys getting their due. Wonder what happened to all the company sycophants that argued against representation three years ago? Busy cashing their paychecks, I guess. To all 1224 guys fighting for a new contract (especially Atlas), keep the long view. This will happen, maybe not as fast as we want it, but it will happen. Meanwhile, be professional, write up broken aircraft, and believe in Bourne and Hoffa. We will win this fight.

It's taking roughly 7 months to get a pilot through OE from DOH...

Plan of making close to nothing for 7 months.

2/2016 new hires are still waiting on OE, 3 months after type ride. Thus being sent back for another PC with minimal training.

God speed

Allegiant fought really hard for that and it took quite some time. Our amendable date is next month and management isn't even meeting with us to negotiate. I do think we can do it but it's gonna be a long haul. If you're asking will it follow then I'd say yes... The question is how long? That may be 5 years or more.

Has anyone taken the tech test recently? Is page 1099 still a good reference?

Took it in May. It was pretty much spot on. Find a jepp wx symbol chart, gleim atp for the wx and performance and some of those icao docs for oceanic contingency stuff. Oh, and have a pilot friend help.

Don't think I have ever seen a jepp wx symbol chart.
