Any FOs at ATLAS quitting to go back to a regional?
I was the mentor for a guy that quit to go back to corporate. He couldn't afford to support his family at Atlas.

However, if you started OE in the 3rd month, you will get $4000 plus perdiem or $1600 plus perdiem only?

And later the min 50 hour guarantee at $80 an hour for the 1st year! I think I get the zest of it.
I am saving for the change as well. Let's see how it goes. But wanted to know ahead of time, maybe if it is a long wait, might be a good idea to get a second part time job!

I live in Anchorage, so should not be a problem But maybe move down to Florida and hope to get MIA base in the future. However, on the airline profiles page of Atlas Air, it mentions all travel to/from base is imputed! Is that correct? If they DHD you on Delta from ANC to say Frankfurt, do they impute the income (if ANC is your base). I thought if you lived other than your base, the imputed income will be for only travel and hotels at your base!
You’re only imputed on your travel from your gateway (living away from your domicile) to your base. For me, from Atlanta to get to Alaska to start trip and then back to Atlanta at end of trip. No imputed income for them to position you somewhere they need you to be. And if the first leg of your trip happens to be starting somewhere other than your base, you’ll go straight there from your gateway, and don’t get imputed. Many trips start with a deadhead from your base to somewhere else, and in that case you would go straight to that airport from where you live, and don’t get imputed.
Also at the end of a trip you can quite often catch an Atlas jumpseat from Anchorage to someplace closer tour your gateway airport, and then commercial in from there. Many times the plane I bring in to ANC turns right around and goes to CVG or ORD, and I stay on it and then catch Delta to ATL.

Thanks for the info. That is interesting that you can jumpseat to CVG or ORD and fly from there to home. I guess it is best for you and company. No need to pay for hotel or get a ticket for you from ANC to lower 48! So no imputed income is charged for the CVG-ATL or ORD-ATL, correct?

But corporate is not a regional. It's a different lifestyle altogether.

We have hundreds that go with a "MAJOR(legacy)" every year but we have some that return to the regionals as well. As a whole, it is a sinking ship and everyone is looking for a lifeboat.

18 days if you don’t commute to your base. 19-20 AWAY FROM HOME if you commute.

Are you new here?
You are aware you don’t just apply or show up and get the job?

It could take years. In fact still taking years to be accepted at major. Meanwhile your away from home 17-20 days a month. Bottom of the barrel pay, especially as a new hire - year 3 maybe? CA upgrade. At which point you’ll just barely peak 100k go back to the bottom of the seniority list being gone again more 17-20 days a month.

There are quickly becoming more and more viable options for not only better financial gains but hands down far better QOL.
