Loss of Africa Contract

Loss of SonAir Contract

Outsourcing to Kalitta, Omni, Western Global etc. etc.

Company demanding even more concessions as of this week

Crew member suspensions for asking for coffee

Multiple lawsuits by management against the pilots

yet they still keep coming

Let's stay truthful here please...

The "Africa Contract" wasn't lost, our company chose not to renew.

Neither did we lose SonAir per se, the jets are empty and they are discontinuing the service.

Moreover, the company has added more customers and airplanes... somewhat inexplicably, given our attrition/manning situation.

while i agree it's coming apart at the seams, stay truthful and leave the innuendo and misrepresentations to mgt... thanks.

Under definition of LOST......No longer available. Does not matter if in your opinion Atlas did not bid for it. It is still LOST.

Lost as in Atlas will no longer be flying the Africa contract nor the Son Air contract.

That is the truth. That is not innuendo nor misrepresentation.

Yes , a few new aircraft have been added. Who are the new customers?

Atlas has not had a new customer press release in a long while.

For all kinds of reasons the Asian customers tend to be very discrete, and they expect Atlas to fly and keep its mouth shut.

Just spend a few minutes in Hawk if you want to know who the additional 74s are flying for.

I'm expecting those new airplanes to be for Amazon flying crap from Asia to CVG to be distributed... Personally.

Based on their issues, Cathay Pacific

New customers/expanded business...

Try Cathay, Air Hong Kong, suparna and DHL global forwarding (not same as DHL express) off top of my head. They have added at least 4 747s in last 6-8 months (404/445/446/472) with at least one more coming (there's a tail # listed in QRH that's not in the computer system yet, but registered to company per tail registry). You don't add airplanes, while outsourcing, without adding customers. People can blather on all they want about this mngement team's ineptitude and regarding labor relations the bashing is deserved... but the two things they seem to know how to do is generate business and make money... they don't go get airplanes without having customers secured, they don't typically announce every deal and they usually secure long term deals.

Atlas signed contracts with 3 professional sports teams.

But flying for a sports team is minimal. It is only for the season and how much flying is really involved. One leg out and one leg back? How much sitting around is there?

Then of course it is only good for away games.

Flying for sports teams is not a real money maker for anybody. That is why other companies are refusing to do it and redeploying their aircraft elsewhere.

I hope we are not chasing less valuable flying while our competitors are taking the more profitable flying. Kalitta, Western Global and others are expanding rapidly in the cargo market. Hope it isn't at our expense.

Thanks for the info. You make valid points.

Atlas has illegally out sourced more flying to Western Global.Apply to Western and get a big airplane type rating and probably more job security. Atlas is being dismantled by our current "management group"
