fair, but what if you do more than 64? Let’s say you VX or outbase.

Then obviously you would make more $. Outbase min is over 100 hrs (I don’t remember the #).

The break even point is about 75 hrs.
More then that the $117 is the better deal, less the $92 is. Outbase or OT is obviously more attractive at $117.
I mean face it this is a reshuffle, still the same pieces of chocolate on the table.
Still unknown how much the withholding will be for LTD, unknown when it will be implemented.
Complaining? Asking what’s in the koolaid?

Outbase min guarantee went up to 130 with the new CBA. Get some article 33 in there, then you can easily get up there.

VX. Unless you live in base to get ASAP trips forget about it as you probably won’t have the seniority to hold them.

Obviously can't budget on them, but I got a 6 day VX trip this month, and I don't live anywhere near a base. Just got lucky they were desperate.

Even with a lower hourly this is an effective raise for year 1 since there no longer is training pay of $1600/month.

Assume 4 months of training pay and use min guarantee of 64 to do the math.

Old pay:
4x1600= 6400 plus 8 months at 117x64=59,904
total year 1 is 66,304

New Pay:

92x64x12= 70,656.

That math works but no-one on the 747 makes 64 hours a month right now, unless they actively avoid working.

Good reply thanks, and I agree you should know what you get into. When I interviewed I was told 117, however due to commitments I’m wasn’t able to start immediately and now it’s 92, which is already a pay cut for me, specially for the 64hours. Will it stop me? Probably not, but it was quite a revelation yesterday and I fight I now have to take with my wife…
can you tell me about the LTD, I see it’s 10k and can be added up to 15k, does that mean that the first 10k is offered at company expense and if I wanted I could pay for the added 5000?

Junior lineholders easily credit 110-130 hours here right now on the 747. Get in while the going is good. This COVID pay won't last forever, but neither will 92/hr.

I will say recently is a outlier. We had a 3rd of our pilot group out with Covid in the month of Jan and had OT trips go uncovered and planes not moved as well. Overall, being over a year. It has been difficult to pick up OT.

I can see that. Not complaining though, pulled a pretty good month with 200+++ hours of credit.

Good job, keep at it. Get it while the going’s good. It’s better than it has ever been for over a decade. Right now it’s all about feasting on the 175%, the OT/VX has a few spikes here and there (Jan spike), but neither of these are a given nor is out basing.

I suspect some more “initiatives” prior to Fall or peak if you will. May is another focal point, we’ll see how that plays out.

Not to change the momentum here but anyone have any more up to date class offerings? last ones I saw were through February I believe.
