Atlas Air Hiring
#2101
Not sure if this was covered in the 208 pages, I searched for a while and used the search function without success. Do you have to have an internal letter of recommendation to get an interview/hired at Atlas? Thanks.

The email we got said 1/25 for people without a recommendation.
If I am wrong, corrections are greatly appreciated!
For everyone applying, good luck! I think it is definitely worth the time and trouble to apply and come interview if you are selected.

Just got the email confirmation for a Miami interview in September. Now I'm really starting to freak out!! It's so close now. Thank you to everyone who has posted on here. The one thing that seems to be missing is info on the interview portion. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!! I really don't want to screw this up now.

I know it's early as the 767 operations are just starting, but does anyone know about changing fleets as a first officer? Can you change based on seniority or are you on that type until you get a captain upgrade? If change is possible is there a seatlock?

As soon as Kasher rules (supposedly in 2-3 weeks) and the new CBA goes into effect, it will be a 3 year seat lock for new hires to voluntary bid the same status on a different aircraft.

I said this a few days ago, and it might be worth repeating...
Is a slightly lower pay scale worth turning down the job if you are afforded the opportunity?...each candidate has to answer that question for himself or herself.
But then, it has always been an issue with those carriers that have fleets that consist of different aircraft types...so, why should it be an issue at Atlas?
When you are senior enough, you can hold the next airplane. Isn't that how it works?!!
Good luck.
