Hi All....

Rather new to this forum....Wish I had come across here earlier....

Interviewed 10/28...Got the pool letter 11/8....Very excited....I'm sure time is going to drag on now...

I have a question for someone that might know...With the new contract, is it possible to change your gateway within the year...For instance...if my official address is Denver, could a person request a gateway for the summer out of Europe? Say CDG? Just curious....

You can change it all you want, BUT NOT TO EUROPE. US Gateways ONLY. You will have to select a city in good ole USA as a gateway. Once your onboard, you'll need to track down some of the guys that do live in Europe. Most the time, scheduling works with them and they start trips in Europe, BUT sometimes thay have to get to their base to start trips. The guys I know in Europe, are all JFK based.

HSV is also a good choice for bases for guys living in Europe...as we have frequent flights from LUX to HSV, about 5 times per week.

Can you change it monthly? Weekly? Bid period? Just let them know whenever?

I have yet to even have my application acknowledged, but I'd love to work there. I do have a high likelihood of jumping back and forth between NC and FL though based on personal circumstances and it'd be easier not to have to drive it...rather just start/stop from wherever I am a the time.

Hey just curious how many interviewed with you? Do you know how many got the letter or a class? Turned down? Was Oct 28 the only day they ran interviews?

10 interviewed.

As far as I know, only 4 pool letters. 1 rejection. Have not heard from the other 5. I believe, at least for the end of October, they ran 3 consecutive days of interviews.

protip: If you live overseas, choose a city in the US that has high airfares to help with alternate travel.
