Some of the new hires have had as few as 4000 or so hours. everyone I have met had at least 1000 PIC jet. The mins are 2500 TT and 1000 turbine. I don't think they will look at you at all until you meet those mins, so I would wait for 2500 TT, then apply. They have been hiring a lot more RJ type guys than they were at the beginning.

I agree with Cliff...wait till you meet the 2500/1000 mins.

However, being competitive vs meeting the minimum requirements are two different things. An ATP is an absolute must-have on the application.

And the internal recommendation is also helpful...there was some data sent by someone in Atlas HR that gave some numbers of those with and those without internal recommendation. I will have to find the email and post the info when/if I find it.

BTW, the application is FREE...so, apply as soon as you have the minimum requirements met.

Good luck.

From the link below...seems the flight time requirements are different than those posted in the last several messages.

BTW, I couldn't find the email that enumerated the percentage breakdown for with and without internal recommendations...sorry. Maybe other Atlas pilots could find it and post it here...

Has anybody heard anything about classes lately? I'm guessing things will be slow through the holidays but any ideas after that? Also, it seems like the last few classes were filled at the last minute? Do they normally allow you to give a two weeks notice? I'm getting very anxious in the pool!!

Wolfpack, I'm only curious because I have the close to the same airframes/times: did you not count T-37 time as ME to come up w/ your 2600ME? (otherwise 1900+1300=3200ME). Or did you mean 2600 ME PIC?

Good luck w/ the Exam
