Our monthly base/equipment bid awards tomorrow (15). The -200 pilots are going to be displaced and/or bid off the as the fleet is retired at the end of this month. How many, if any, go to the 76 will determine when the next hew hire class is. Last month there were a couple of -200 FO's that bid over to the 76, but this award will be the one that tells.

40+ Captains and 40+ FO's on the Classic fleet that need to find a home...my rule to each one of them is that if they are senior to me, they CANNOT bid the 767 Left seat!! :p

No problem if they do, I loved the 744! And being a senior FO is not a bad thing...and I wouldn't have to commute...I live at one of the bases:D

Guys, it's been a week and no chatter....I interviewed on 7 Feb and wanted to thank all the guys who provided great advice and info about the interview process. I will never be able to thank you enough. I flew home from a 15 day trip just 2 days prior to the interview where I was on my IOE and took an FAA oral, company oral, and full blown check ride in the jet. So, needless to say, I was in our GOM and Ops Specs the entire time. All the material you guys forwarded to include some dudes on the interview with me was able to get me spun up in two days. Finally, thank you to the enforcers on this thread who keep the conversation only about ATLAS hiring and info about the company. I really hope I get picked up. Being there at the interview along with info gleamed from this thread solidified it for me and ATLAS is where I want to be for the next 19 years (I'll be 65 then).

On another note, any chatter from interviewees? Any calls yet or references being checked?

Hey Cheese. Nothing yet. Fingers are crossed. I'll post here as soon as anything shows up.

If the bid award is tomorrow, do you think there will be word on new hire classes soon?

No, I don't think that will have any affect as to if/when they make calls to offer class dates. They already know the results. We, the line pukes, get to see it tomorrow and I am sure the info on the number and location of any remaining (new hire) vacancies will make its way here.

I know it is hard just standing by to standby, but we will all get a peak into the future tomorrow. Of course its only valid for a microsecond when it is published, after that it will be old news and subject to changes whenever and as many times a day as they see fit. Just like our schedules.

Good Luck. YMMV.

Even if a few of the Captains retire it'll take three months to push them all through MIA so I wouldn't expect much hiring before then.

Here's hoping I get "the call" instead of the dreaded FedEx truck. My understanding is that letter could go either way.

So they took a 15% pay cut? Man sorry to hear that. I called that one wrong.

That is correct, at least when I interviewed it was anyway. One of three things is going to happen after roughly 2 weeks from interview date;

1) A phone call from HR with a class date. Rare, but it has happened
2) The letter notifying you that you've been accepted and in the pool
3) The "TBNKs" letter.

And I believe those letters have come to people from both FedEx and UPS.

Actually, they were senior FO's that took 767 CA awards...and as you all know, more will be revealed tomorrow, maybe.
