No calls here today. Been 3 weeks to the date since submission of PAQ, resume and internal rec. Hopefully soon if its meant to be. In the meantime, I'll have another cold one and keep studying.

Don't worry, if it is meant to be...it'll be several months, and if you are available then, and if you are interested, you can choose to answer the ring from 914 area code!!

Some of the guys in the last several years have waited up to a year to get the first call, and then interviewed, and then waited close to a year to get a class.

But, I think it is all worth it if you really want this job, and this lifestyle. The audition (interview) is a two-way street...you are also trying to figure out if Atlas is right for you (and your family) just like they are trying to figure out if you will fit in with the culture here.

Good luck.

It's my money and I want it now! I kid. Good things come to those who wait...
I know no place is perfect, but it seems like a pretty good gig.
Good luck everyone.

Thanks 744 and Tex. It does sound like the best gig out there and probably will be for a long time. Atlas appears to be a great place to finish a career. Tex, what part of Texas are ya from? Thats my old stompin grounds.

There is a little story behind the name and a joke with a buddy of mine, but I'm actually from Michigan. I live on the east coast of FL now and commute up to Atlanta. But man... I would love not to commute!!!!

Shot in the dark...

I'm retiring out of the Navy with 5000+ turboprop hours, mostly P-3s. Looking to see if there might be any ex-Orion guys at Atlas that I may have flown with? If so, would love to strike up a conversation. Not sure if I can PM yet, but any contact would be much appreciated. Thanks

It's true! An internal recommendation WILL NOT get you the interview. Your qualifications will. Once you get the interview, they will ask you and they will look to see if someone has recommended you and then and only then, they will look at the internal. PERIOD!

Everyone I know that has been called in the last 2 weeks has at least 1 LOR. Those without are still waiting by the phone.

well, you may not want to say it like that, a bit incorrect. I have one, and have't been called yet, there are many of us. don't count us out, we just have't been call yet.

Add one more to the "still awaiting the call" list....but I have confidence that soon....the time is nigh grntlemen!
