It certainly isn't for everyone. But for those that embrace going to work once a month, all days off in one stretch, the excitement of constant change, not knowing for sure what corner of the world you will be in tomorrow. Atlas is a great home.

Flying the greatest airplane ever built is just a bonus.
And ?? That's the obvious one, but there must be a lot of other reasons. Just saying that and the standard BS about solid businessplan bright future etc. seems a little thin.

Hello everyone!!!

i recently did my phone interview, but at the end she mentioned that she would forward my resume to the chief pilot and depending on his decision, they would contact me further.

I was not told to take any online test. Does this mean i failed my phone interview?

reading from other guys, it seems they were given the link for an online test during their phone interview.

Current pay is poor due to a bancrupcy contract and 5 yrs out of negotiations which has made for a bad morale, surprise! However, new TA'd sections increase guarantee from 62-83 hrs and 22% pay raises across the 5 yr contract. a 3rd yr guy is @ six figures, also going to 15 yr pay scale topping $149 Fo's/205 Ca's FWIW. Most important above all else is record profits $5.35 per share for 2010, i think pax haulers are .50 if they are lucky. Atlas is levered to global growth and insulated against the falling dollar which further increase profits. Lots of growth rumors of large AC's purchases after new joint contract with Polar is announced Q1 11. Only been here 3 months and every place we travel has non-stop construction cranes out my hotel window. Airlines are consolidating, global freight is booming. this job isn't for everyone and if you want routine stay away. BTW, i've yet to work 17 days had layovers in HNL, SYD, HKG of course there are africa ones as well. Don't know if this is it for me but so far so good, ps first year pay is livable/training in MIA! Hope this helps

Same thing here. Was really excited about the call though. Hopefully it doesn't mean that you are totally out. Seems like it would be a good fit for me.

PWR1830,

Thanks for the info and I hope that you are right. When I go back to the test site it has the test still available to select but on the right column it states failed. I have been unable to confirm my score but without any further guidance I will just be patient and wait. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Can anyone share what the current / competitive mins. are now to get looked at or hired?

Do you need heavy time?
Jet time?
Glass Time?
International Experience?

Would they consider lots (ie. 8000hrs.) of Turbo Prop Time good for an FO?

I just went to go resend my resume on that Atlas Website and there is a Pre-Application questionnaire to send off. When I go to open it up, I can't read anything on the page. Any Atlas guys know what's up?

Any idea if increasing the monthly guarantee for newhires while in training or for the rest of the first year might increase in the next contract? Isn't it like 50 hrs a month right now?

Also, how often is everybody updating? I've been sending a package in quarterly but am thinking about monthly now.

Thanks-

KC
