Atlas Air Hiring

I'm guessing you're talking about first year pay. You're paid the highest of the 50 hour first year guarantee, what you credit (flying, deadhead, extra days, war zone) or rig. The rig pays 1 hour's pay for every 4.95 hours you're away from base. so if you're on the road more than 10 and a half days the rig will trump guarantee.

Hey guys,
I'm packing up for my last trip with my current employer, and there's a slight chance that I may need to go straight from the trip down to MIA. So, I'm packing as if I'm going to training. I haven't heard from Atlas yet about what to bring to class, so I was curious what you guys have to say.
Other than the usual groundschool stuff (notebook, etc.), I'm bringing along my SS card, checks (for direct deposit), business casual clothes, and a button down/tie just in case. Anything else anyone can think of? I don't want to walk out the door tomorrow and realize I left something important at home. Thanks!

How about calling Atlas HR and asking what documentation is required?...they might also be able to email or fax you the letter that they will send while you are on your trip.
Did you already do the drug screening, driver's license, and background checks? You may need to take that with you also...

Some advice I received was to consider getting more pages added to your passport. It's available via the passport office website. They can include "rush order" service, but I'm not sure exactly how long the service takes.

Passport renewals are a pain once you are on line. On the other hand getting pages added can be done during a day at several of the common layovers.
Whatever someone does, don't do what some idiot did and show up at training with a passport that only had 8 months to run.

IMO the ideal thing would be to get a new passport with 52 pages. I am sure that Atlas would cut the required letter for expedited service.
