Tell the handlers in FRU that you want a big hat and they'll hook you up with a back door connection. That's how I got mine.

One of them also taught me some handy Russian phrases (big hat optional).

I miss Bish.

I'll just do without that hat, if getting one means a "back door connection"...thank you very much for the offer though.

Go to any German flea market in a major city. That crap from the Soviet bloc is all over the place.

IMO, retirements, and FAR 117 (we are one of the few carriers to operate both pax and cargo airplanes) implementation. So, how the company implements the so-called "Cargo cut-out" will determine how many additional bodies we need to operate the 6 or so pax airplanes with pax rest rules vs cargo rest rules.

Personally, my body doesn't know the difference when I fly cargo vs pax...I'm tired when I am tired!! (Just amazing how politicians think, but that is a different discussion)

We have about 30 a year for the next few years hitting 65. So that's at least 3 classes a year.

Another rumor comes to fruition . . .

Atlas Air Worldwide
Announces New CMI Customer
Will Provide All-First Class Boeing 767-200 Passenger Service for MLW Air;
Expands Growing Atlas 767 Platform into VIP Passenger Transport
PURCHASE, N.Y., June 20, 2013 – Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: AAWW), a leading global provider of outsourced aircraft and aviation operating solutions, today announced that its Atlas Air, Inc. unit has signed an agreement to operate a VIP-configured Boeing 767-200 passenger aircraft in CMI service for MLW Air, LLC. Flights are expected to commence this summer.

Under the new CMI (Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) agreement, Atlas Air will operate MLW Air’s unique, all-first class, 102-seat Boeing aircraft, extending Atlas Air’s innovative CMI service solution and its growing 767 aircraft platform into very high-end passenger transport. The flights will be marketed as charters to sports teams, entertainers and other high-profile users.

“This agreement to operate one of the world’s most distinctive aircraft further expands our asset-light CMI service solution and diversifies our business mix with additional passenger ability,” said William J. Flynn, President and Chief Executive Officer, Atlas Air Worldwide.

“We look forward to offering MLW Air a combination of experienced pilots, highly trained flight attendants and an outstanding maintenance and safety record to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for passengers who demand the best.”

“We are keenly anticipating our partnership with Atlas Air, trusted the world over for operating aircraft to hundreds of destinations worldwide at any time,” said Martin Woodall, Chief Executive Officer of MLW Air. “Our customers demand outstanding service and reliability, and that’s why Atlas Air is the right partner for us.”

MLW Air’s Boeing 767 is the only all-first class 767 commercial charter aircraft with worldwide operations registered with the Federal Aviation Administration. The dual-aisle plane features first class seats with 60-inch pitch (the distance between a row of seats) in a two-by-two-by-two configuration. The seats recline to 156 degrees for maximum comfort and come with adjustable head and foot rests. The plane is ideal to meet the needs of heads of state, celebrities, diplomats, professional sports teams, entertainers, private parties, tour groups and other charter needs. The client list includes the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks and such entertainers as Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones and Beyoncé.

Atlas Air currently operates 10 Boeing 767s, including three passenger aircraft and seven freighters. Its modern, efficient fleet also includes two VIP-configured Boeing 747-400 passenger aircraft, 37 Boeing 747 freighters and a recently acquired Boeing 777 freighter.
