Any specific reasoning behind that? I know the HR selection process is a guess but are those pilots used to the schedule already? Have the heavy time already?

I hear the last class was mostly mil/ACMI, but also included a corporate 135 guy who'd never flown for the airlines before.

Of course, the only thing you can control is whether or not you apply. Everything else is up to HR.

Two 10 year+ RJ-only folks in class with me right now (former captains). Rest are mostly mil/acmi though. Ofcourse none of this means anything in terms of future hiring.

I see Atlas listed on the WAI Conference exhibitor list, but does anyone know if that is confirmed? Any idea if they will be doing on the spot interviews? Here's to hoping going to a job fair will help.

I'm really looking forward to some face-to-face time!

It is very much set in stone that Atlas will be at WIA. As for on the spot interviews, you can think of it as that but it will be more casual really. The booth staff will be there primarily to answer your questions, tell some stories, pretty much get to know you - you get to know us kind of stuff in the Atlas friendly way :)

There is quite a bit of into about the WIA conference on this thread, if you haven't read through it yet, I encourage you to use the search function and learn more about it. We are here to answer any questions if you can't find the answers, ask away :)

Atlas will also be at the OBAP career fair March 20, held at the Tuscany Suites and Casino in Las Vegas.

It doesn't appear that the question has been asked yet, but how long are the lines typically for Atlas at WIA or any other job fair(rough wag)?

Would going to both be helpful to an applicant or do you think they might find it bothersome to see the same person at two different job fairs in the same month?

A friend who is in the 74 class right now visited multiple booths from multiple job fairs, when it came time for the face to face interview those that ran the booth recognized him from both conferences. Did I mention he was in class now..

Depends on the day and job fair. Last year at WIA the DL and UA lines went literally out the door of the entire conference job fair area, wrapped practically around the building ..ok almost. The lines were reportedly a 3h wait, supposedly 5h at its worst. As for Atlas..well, if you could find their booth, getting a booth last minute meant they were put in the nose bleed section, the line rarely went out to the main hallway. Atlas has once again gotten a booth at the last minute this year. There is no published map of where the booth locations are yet, that I'm aware of, but my best guess is that Atlas will be in the nose bleed section again. But think of it this way, it's like a treasure hunt, once you find the booth it will be like finding the hidden conference treasure ;)

Good question! Thank you for asking :)

I went to WIA last year and there was no line at the Atlas booth.
