Hi everyone. new to this site. real interesting info on here! I did interview 2 weeks ago with Atlas. What a great company! today I just received a FedEx letter from D.B from HR.
It says my qualifications MEET their requirements!! But no class date available as of now. In preferential hiring pool, and they will call if a class date becomes available.
I quess my question is: IS THIS GOOD NEWS?? At least not a shut down letter! Has anyone that interviewed on the 18th or 20th got a class date or also all a pool letter or not hired? I read the previous posts and I am under the impression that the feb. classes are full.... If they do not want to hire you they woul have send me a rejecion letter right? And what is the avarage wait time in the pool... Thanks for you replies!
I am in a difficult position as have been unemployed for 4 months, out of money with my family, and also now just got a offer to start class next week at a MD-11 operator, but with a 24.000 dollar training bond! Of course Atlas has my preference. All input would be greatly appricated TY

When does the training bond go into effect? Some are from the end of training or end of IOE. I would think that it can't be from day one.

Getting out of the Atlas pool is competitive. Some get out faster than they got in, others swim for months.

With having no job, I would play both sides as long as possible.

Good luck.

Thanks. I do not know when the bond takes effect..and they do not want to really say I guess. I had to sign the thing right after the interview! It would make sense if not until after the type. I am just really looking forwar to start at Atlas!
I was really wondering if anyone did get the call for a class date that interviewed 2 weeks ago....or the classes are full. What is it based upon to get called out of the pool?
Is there a chance that you NEVER get a call while in the pool?
Ha, I just want to know if I should be happy about this pool I quess... TY!!!

Hell yea be happy! Its better than the other FedEx option. I interviewed in July and just got the call. (very happy, I might add) It is impossible to say if your preferential score will be high enough. ( I was beginning to believe mine would not be). I bet it will be. Would I turn down a job waiting for the call?...That's a tough one.

Good Luck and God bless you and your family!

check your pm

One more question regarding the questionaire... is the NHPS in the email address case sensitive? Just wondering, because I typed it out in all caps as is requested, but when I look in my sent folder it shows that it reverted to lower case. Just wondering... I'd really hate to not get a call if my questionaire didn't go through and they think I forgot to send it.

One more to add to the list. Got the Fedex pool letter today. Just waiting for the phone call now.

I interviewed Jan 18th. Good luck everybody. The gouge here is spot on and I thank everyone for all the info.

Congratulations everyone who got the "in the pool" letter. Be patient, I think being in the pool requires the most patience because you are so close, yet don't know when you will get called for a class. It took me nearly 5 months for a class date, for others it took longer. The fact that they keep calling/testing/interviewing seems to be a great sign for a solid future at Atlas! :D

Resume file:

Same as resume file minus the .pdf
Yes, I know I'm being paranoid/anal but after almost 10 months of updates I'm a bit frustrated (as I'm sure many others are).
And no, my real name is not Bob Jones.

How about it? Is anyone sending in resumes and PAQ's from a Mac getting the calls? I'm in the same shape that KC is ...
