Shortest trip-1 day. Other trip lengths in days: 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19, 29 and 31 days. 29 and 31 day trips were two trips back-to-back on purpose.

Original schedule MIA-ORD-HNL-SYD-China-Middle East-Africa-Europe home.

Changed to MIA-Venezuela-MIA-MEM-SJU-MIA-Santiago-Lima-MIA....followed immediately by MIA-ORD-HHN (Hahn, Germany)-Middle East-HKG-DXB-AUH (Abu Dhabi)-HKG-ANC-CVG. Next trip is a 4 day trip.

Most trips for NYC based pilots are 5-16 days.

I'm curious (and yes I did not read the 5000 pages on the other thread to find out)..
Are your schedules built such that you report for work and they own you for 17 days straight and you just expect to go wherever they need you, then you are off for 13 days?
I know a lot of the overseas contract jobs are like this, one I looked at was 20 days in country with one day of travel back home on each side, so you only got 8 days home a month.

No.U will be assigned a trip of any length between 1 and 17 days. U know your days off and on. Changes r constant. Days of also vary I lengths of time. U can ask for a minimum number of days off between trips and you will get at least the minimum. Often work less than 17 days in a month.

Just went through the JFK bid pack for this month. A bit over half the lines are 60 day lines, the rest 30. The 30 day lines are 15-17 days at a time. All but one of the 60 day lines have you go to work three times in the 60 days. The company owns you up to 34 days in a 60 day line. Could be three 11 day trips or a 4 day and a 16 and a 14. Never been MIA or ANC based but I've heard they have some shorter trips which work if you live in base.

I've never been gone more than 12 days straight and I have them fly me home on weekends if I'm sitting in base (Cvg). Breaks up a longer stretch nicely with the weekend home. I'm 767.

It's because you're JFK based vs. CVG based. If CVG based, they have to fly you home as a lineholder with more than 48 hours in base. If you switched, you'd be bidding #3 in CVG vs. getting nothing but CVG reserve lines as a senior JFK FO. This is the only way your seniority works for you. As a JFK guy bidding CVG lines, you're essentially junior to every CVG FO. On the plus side, your seat lock expires soon.
