As a JFK guy bidding CVG lines, you're essentially junior to every CVG FO. On the plus side, your seat lock expires soon.
I assume and apparently so do you that she (I think she is a she) is in fact a line holder. And yes that is the only way to get sent home. Isnt it a shame that in a seniority based system that this is allowed. Maybe in our next contract we can fix that.

Technically, it doesn't matter if she's a lineholder or not. She could've been on R-1 or R-2 and was then assigned a pattern with a long weekend in CVG in between domestic runs. CBA just says more than 48 hours in base without an assignment. Would've been the same for JFK on those GEO/POS trips if they'd built a long sit in base in between flights.

Seniority works pretty well in CVG. If you're senior, you bid what you want, and for the most part it stays intact. JFK just doesn't have any lines to bid. Seniority counts for bidding your footprint, and that's about it. The DHL stuff just doesn't require many changes (normally). Some of the 747 guys say their patterns change every time they land. That said, I would love to get bid or trip pay protection. That would reassert seniority in a big way.

Honestly, I'm great with sitting R2...I'd trade ya if I wouldn't be imputed for it. Hopefully this whole issue will start getting fixed this year once you guys start moving to the whale (you guys are cool and all, but please leave... ).

MSP-FAR only about 3.5 hrs. Midwest wx caused all kinds of flight cancellations....it was crazy!

We keep airline and hotel points.most hotels don't get points as special rates for atlas. Most guys who gateway, or who are JFK based have some kind of airline status.
