Default CFI Expiration

Hello, its been a while posting on here. Its time to renew my cfi. I initially received the certificate on august 2008. In june 2010, I renewed it by attending a two day event. This time around I am using the american flyers FIRC for life.
Sorry if I sound naive but my understanding is that if you renew it within three calender months of the expiration date by satisfactory completing one of plenty of options provided, you can remain your original expiration date.
On the cfi card, it says date of issuance on june 2010. When I fill out the american flyers FIRC paper, do I put the expiration as june 2012 or august 2012. Someone please clarify if I am wrong as I have put august 2012 as my expiration date.

Have you looked at your CFI cert? It has date of issue on the front and expiration date on the the back.

Your license should have the expiration date on it. Based on what you said though, your expiration should still be August 2012 since you were in the three month window last time. My last "issue month" was April and the expiration stayed July.

The issue date is on the front of your CFI certificate. The expiration date is on the back.
