Interesting interview with Mike Sinnett of Boeing... and probably a bit more balanced and realistic then some news reports and some poster's wild predictions

Good. Maybe you should go find a country that supports your political ideology of communism. I would recommend Cuba, I hear it's nice this time of year.

Is he communist or socialist? Maybe he should tootle on down to Venezuela. The bread lines are short right now... because they're out of bread.

I disagree. Never underestimate millennials penchant for saving a dollar. All an airline will have to say is "pilotless airplanes will save you $$ on tickets" and the public will demand it yesterday. People don't care as long as their ticket price is cheap. Cutting pilots out will save airlines BILLIONS a year. Millennials will be all for it. Guaranteed.

Show me the once where I indicate that my political ideology supports communism. On the flip side, you should go find a country that supports your political ideology of oligarchic fascism. Oh wait, unless you're one of those simpletons that thinks everything is either black or white....either capitalism or communism. Nah, certainly not.

The first crash of a pilotless airplane will get 24 hr coverage on CNN for at least 2 weeks. Many aviation "experts" will be interviewed and people will become paralyzed with fear. While people want cheap tickets, they have a greater desire to return from the trip they are taking.

Let's not forget that when we push pilots out of the cockpit, we are not eliminating human error. We are simply replacing the errors of the pilot for the errors of the engineer.

It's cute how you think you know what Communism is.

Exactly. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

What amuses me most are the elitist, shining path know-it-alls who puke this twaddle for the supposed benefit of the marginalized masses. Zuckerberg & Musk specifically. Anything but equal in anything they do. Out there hiring just anybody to laser edge their competitive advantages? Chit no. Intensely aware , even at a point where tech capabilities advance to gratify every possible whim as fast as you might dream one up, any hope of further discovery dies the moment everyone is qualified equal simply because they manage to eat and use a toilet. Assuming of course those tasks remain necessary in the utopian Neverland of universal basic income & the 797.
