Should we be concerned for our future?

I have a couple of strategery questions.
Do I understand correctly that the United States no longer has tactical nukes?
What will stop Russians from quickly invading and capturing the armaments sent to Ukraine?
What is the long term strategic interest/gain for the United States by getting into a shooting war with Russian troops in Ukraine?
Are we sure this isn’t a wag the dog scenario?
Why didn’t Europe just agree not to make Ukraine a NATO partner? If Mexico build up missile batteries on our southern border would the USA not have a hostile response?
I don’t want a war over this. If they threaten a NATO ally, there are different agreements to abide by. But this? Not so sure it’s in our interest.

I don't. I love my country. Which is why I don't want to spend any of our money or lives on Ukraine. Amazing how it's always the ones who have never actually been to war who are so gung ho about starting one.

But experts are saying that this invasion is purely a NATO test. He's going to try to test Article 5 somewhere. The next few weeks are going to be critical to de-escalating thing without it spiraling into a major conflict.

If you weren't so busy trolling and trying to be cute you might actually understand someone else's position.

When Hitler duped Chamberlain with the idea that the Anschluß was the end of his expansion ideas (being that the regions were historically part of the previous borders to WW1), some inside of the Wehrmacht were very much concerned that the expansion would indeed continue.
I can’t help but think Putin is going to try the same thing. Georgia, Crimea, Ukraine, what next…Latvia? Romania? Poland?
China into Taiwan? Egypt, Jordan, Syria into Israel?

On the plus side:
- The Ukrainians are putting up a good fight
- Russians citizens are publicly protesting, at great risk to themselves. This invasion is very unpopular at home.
- NATO is holding firm and bracing for incursions
- The Russian economy is tanking at the hint of sanctions
