Your right, responding to 9/11 and clearing out the Taliban so that we had access to terrorists is exactly the same as Ukraine.......SARCASM.
Original IRAQ war was kicking IRAQ's butt out of Kuwait. After that, we used the "scourge of WMD's" as justification to go into IRAQ and remove Sadam, and try to install democracy in a country that has little drive other than religious loyalties.
Sorry state of affairs, but I'd say in just listening to interviews over the years, that Condaleeza has more intelligence than the WHOLE Biden cabinet put together.
Wait for it..... the Biden gang is busy clearing the way for IRAN to have nukes

I oppose western foreign and domestic policy failures that have lead to loss of liberty in the west, and to dependence and intangelments with foreign despots. There are adults today who have grown up with their country in a constant state of war for their entire lives. This is the exact opposite to what our founders wanted. All it has lead to is the toxicity and societal problems that exist in the places we occupy, coming home to our society.

It's also worth mentioning that the free and democratic government of Ukraine has barred all men from ages 14 to 60, I believe, from escaping the country. So if you are a civilian male and were a software developer a week ago and decide that you don't want to risk dying for this political non-sense, you can't opt-out.

I simply bring to the table the taboo discussions about why Putin exists, that nobody wants to have, rather than than beating the dead horse about how bad he is and pouring out my vodka.

Let's just say that at some point the Ukranian fighters might need to 'fade in to' the general population in order to prep for an insurgency. It might actually help to have something to blend into...
As far as why Putin exists? There are plenty of books and explanations. It just so happens that hes now leading the invasion of a sovereign nation -- so forgive me for ignoring the deflection and distraction. You should really ask yourself if, or why, you have a soft spot for Putin. Your attemp to 'explain' him is nothing more than excusing him.

Again, nobody is saying to start WW3 and nobody is denying the West has blood on their hands, but Christ dude, this is complete nonsense. This is a madman. He is willing to destroy both his country and all those around him, for what? Because they wanted to join a defensive alliance? You know, to protect themselves from what’s happening right now? Good thing Putin dropped the bombs before they signed on the dotted line….Otherwise totally uncalled for right?

You don't know why they're doing that do you?

yeah, it’s called a national emergency as Putin is trying absorb you into the Russian Federation. This isn’t politics. This is survival of a nation. I’m sure those that don’t want to fight can serve in support roles. You know like a draft…

Also, re the part about the insurgency. Ukraine is already destroyed. A lot of Ukrainians will be given refugee status in the U.S. and other western countries, and they are certainly deserving. Their government's policy of not allowing males 14-60 is going to destroy families. A 14 year old is still a kid. A lot of those men are most likely fathers. The excuse you gave for forcing people to join a theoretical insurgency is pure non-sense. A free and democratic government wouldn't force anyone to stay in the country and a fight a war they may not want to participate in. This wasn't the doing of any Ukrainian or Russian citizens. It was the doing of corrupt governments and profiteers in the Russian, Ukrainian, and U.S. governments.
