What position did you apply for? Was it the A220 Capt one that requires the 5000 total and 1000 PIC? Or did they have jobs that had slightly lower requirements posted somewhere else other than the website? Also, did you already have an Embraer type?

i applied for both positions ( A220and EMB195)
going through the 195 FO selection process , it took 6 days for me to get a live interview (scheduled next week) from 4 recorded questions interview last week .
I have 9000+ with 3750 PIC on E175 .
I believe they would lower the requirement as they might run dry on type rated PIC guys/ gals as there is lot of hiring going on on other airlines .

I don't think so . If you got the numbers they had advertised What they are looking for on the website,They would call you ( e mail you ) . i believe they want 5000 total with 1000 PIC . This requirement would reduce considerably as time goes by.

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm hoping for that they'll reduce the mins once they get enough people to get the A220 fleet going. The numbers on the site are quite high, but it makes sense for the A220 being an new airline with a new type. I'm hoping eventually they'll post a listing for non-type rated on the Embraer at least. I have a decent amount of time over 3000 hours with a CRJ and 737 type, but got out of flying when covid started because I couldn't take the sudden loss of QOL that came about. Hoping to get back in at a place like Breeze that's a start up and growing.

Bump

Also looking for info on the live interview.

Look up their core values. Think about positive and negative stories that showcase how you demonstrated those values.

I interviewed back in February. Didn’t get the job, but one question that stumped me was “ tmaat you brought two departments within an organization together.” Lol I’m a pilot. I couldn’t help but wonder if I was applying for a desk job in accounting. Hopefully they scrapped that question from their script.

Normally cabin crew and pilots are two departments. Pretty easy answers to that question.

That’s how I ended up answering the question with a story about a medical emergency and working together with dispatch and the fa’s.
