Early pilots were awarded 6000 stock options, vesting over a 5 year period. The stock price never rose high enough to get anywhere close to being worth 7 figures, even accounting for splits. Also, the highest ever stock price occurred before all the options were vested. At best, the options were worth about $500,000, before AMT.

Only pre-IPO pilot hires made any money, as later pilots' strike prices were out of the money for nearly the entire 10 years that the options were valid. Pilots hired after 2006 (?) didn't receive stock options at all.

Talking Part Duex

TAP into America by David St. Hubbins. “If I’ve told them once I’ve told them a hundred times Spinal Tap then puppet show”!

Nothing new on Moxy but figured some might like to listen anyway. You’ll then get the TAP reference. Just go to the 50 minute mark for DN or just listen to the whole thing. It’s kind of interesting.

Enjoy.

It helps to actually attach what it is you’re talking about.

They have to be getting close to making and announcing some decisions.

They need capital. Going the used aircraft route to reduce capital needs has in the past not resulted in a great outcome. If they are planning a 2020 launch they are already way behind.

You don’t believe they are going to be successful with the Azul E-190s?

Negative... A competent Ops and Mx team is the road to certification... speaking from first hand initial cadre experience. An equally competent CMT doesn’t hurt either.

Absolutely correct. But a solid business plan is the most important. Can he pull off another?
