So the goal of getting to a regional is to get out as soon as possible, right?
That means going to a regional that is a multicarrier (Mesa, Republic, SkyWest) would lower the chances of getting out of that regional to a major any time soon. Im trying to get to a WO but that doesn't exist at the moment and neither do the LCCs. |

If you really want to get to the majors fast you just go to the first regional that hires you and you apply everywhere. |

That might seem logical, but it’s actually quite opposite of what you want to do. Go to a multi-carrier regional and get apps out ASAP. A wholly-owned is going to meter their flow to mainline.

Should I pick PVD or BDL out of training and why?

How long to hold PVU, on either the FO or CA side?
Much open time to pick up there? And the type of pairings there? I hear it's mainly 4-days... Thanks in advance. |

Not currently going to new hires, but of existing pilots it is very junior. Will depend what happens with growth there as it's been pretty well established for a while now. Past performance does not equal future results, and it is extremely unlikely you would quickly become a senior FO. Could take 6 months to upgrade if you're qualified, or 10 years. It's a crapshoot. Open time in small bases can be limited. Provo has a lot of 4 leg days but also a lot of 2 leg days. I think you meant that, not 4-days. No base here has many 4 days, but you would see more of those in seasonal bases like SAV and VPS.
not hold it in the near future. Currently only has day trips in pvu not a great base for commuters but that could change in the future |
