They are gonna pause classes for a little bit due to the 220 not hitting its planned certification date of 5/4. They are gonna pause classes for a few weeks, but it will spool back up by late May/June anyway.

Is that just for the A220 guys or the 190 too?

There are no delays on the 190 side. The only delay is caused by the A220 not getting on the certificate soon enough. Rather than keep piling pilots in and paying them when they can’t even fly, the company has elected to pause classes temporarily.

The 190 sees no delays though..

Typical indoc, systems and procedure training, sims. Like any airline. If you’ve flown 121, I can’t imagine you’d would have trouble. Unless you’re a fumbling fool, they’re not trying to fail you. The instructors are great.

If you’re not typed on a 190, it will be a lot more uphill than those who are. But it’s absolutely doable. They are here to help you every step of the way, so as you show cooperation and a willingness to put effort.

Thats great information. Is Indoc done at home or the training center? How much are pilots blocking a month on the line (EJets)?

Line holders, I’d say on average, are awarded 78-83 block hours per month. Plenty of open flying if you want to pickup extra. Reserves probably block somewhere around 50. I’m not too sure since I haven’t seen reserve since last fall. Maybe a current reservist can chirp in on that?

And indoc was done at the headquarters, then home to do CBT training, then back to the training center for systems/procedures, and sims.
