Default Sitting on CJO - VRB Base

Good afternoon,

Just got the email with a CJO, and to preface, I’m very fortunate to be able to have options in this climate so I just have a few questions to make an educated decision on what to do with this thing.

Im at a AA WO, the small one. 200 hours 121 and 300 TPIC in PC-12s just for context.

Career goal is to go to a legacy and I can upgrade in a year or less at my current company. So as far as I’m concerned, I’m making the decision to put QoL first or TPIC experience first. I live 20 mins away from VRB and the only way this would be worth it to me is if I can hold it sooner than later. I’m an hour from MCO too. But my priorities is holding VRB, flying consistently and upgrading in that order. Haven’t been able to find too much on VRB but was hoping there’d be some light shed on this.

Thanks guys, fly safe.

Vero Sucks

all the 4 day trips is all you can hold, they are 4 hours of credit every day. You’ll be a lineholder with 13 days off. Get those hours, upgrade, and leave along with all of us trying. Welcome aboard

VRB is a very small base, however I believe as an FO you would have a decent chance of holding it, but then again it may take a long time for them to open up any FO positions there.

Good luck either way, I’m sure you’ll get your hours soon and move to the legacy of your choice! Just don’t tell HR or any of the LCPs if you do decide to go to Breeze, there’s some captains who take it almost as a personal insult if you mention you are looking to leave 😂
