Are face-to-face interviews going away?
My last ten or so interviews, only one was face-to-face. With the advent of scanners to scan and send documents, computer/internet meeting, Skype, etc. it seems as if face-to-face interviews are going away. Along with the sim evaluation.
Phone and Skype interviews seem to be rage. Not really sure why ... as many air carriers have travel benefits.
What's your take?

Beginner jobs - I'd agree.
Higher level jobs (career destinations) - that doesn't seem to be the case.

At a CFI level job I would agree that the face to face interview is going away. At the regional level, some airlines are just conducting a phone/Skype type interview. At the major or established corporate level, not going to happen anytime soon.
